if you haven't heard these guys yet, you should give them a listen. i guess the best way to describe them would be tentative anxiety-rock, maybe. i saw them recently in new york city, opening for a band called "optimus pretentia", or something like that. "fatmuscle" is their first full length album, but they put out an ep like two years ago called "we're gonna kill the proclaimers". which was just as good.

since im blathering on, one time scott came out of a coffee shop shaking his head and going: that place was affectation on top of affectation.
for some reason, that reminds me of the "condoleeza rice fake restaurant order?" game. i play it mostly in the car, by myself. something like:
"...and today's foreign policy special is condoleeza rice served haute blanc with a creamy arrogance saffron sauce".
"oh, that sounds quite good. honey what are you having? are you gonna have that? because i can always order something else."
"i think i'm gonna have the pomme de beouf on that chewbacca bread."
"ciabatta?"
"right. on chewbacca bread."

damn it. i'm working on it. also, note the new jeff-o! link. there's a strange little story from jeff jones about doing away with the good cop-bad cop paradigm.
posting someone else's stuff doesn't really count.
